Skoda Servicing That Understands What's Under The Skin

Ash Road Service Centre is Aldershot’s independent Skoda specialist, and we understand exactly why so many drivers choose the brand: genuine Volkswagen Group engineering, at a price point that doesn’t punish you for wanting something practical and well-built. That shared engineering means your Octavia, Superb, or Kodiaq is built on the same underlying platforms and engines as its VW and Audi siblings, so it deserves servicing carried out with the same level of technical understanding, not a generic once-over.

As a DVSA-approved MOT testing station, we test every Skoda to exactly the standard you’d get at a main dealer. Our technicians work from Skoda’s official service schedules for oil grades, cambelt or timing chain intervals, DSG gearbox oil changes, and diagnostic coding, using genuine or OE-equivalent parts throughout. Whether it’s a routine annual service or a fault that’s been misdiagnosed elsewhere, we sort it properly, first time.

Don't Risk Driving Your Skoda Without a Valid MOT

When Should You Book Your Skoda In?

Skodas are dependable, but they’re not immune to wear. Book yours in if you spot any of the following:

  • Warning lights on the dashboard (engine management, ABS, airbag or oil pressure warnings)
  • Unusual noises on startup, particularly timing chain rattle on TFSI engines
  • Rough or delayed gear changes, or hesitation from the DSG gearbox
  • Vibration through the steering wheel or pulling to one side
  • A drop in fuel economy or rougher idle than usual
  • The service interval indicator counting down on the dash

Getting these looked at early is almost always cheaper, and far less disruptive, than waiting until the car lets you down.

What our clients say about us

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I service my Skoda?

Most fixed-schedule Skoda models need servicing every 12 months or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. Newer models on Skoda’s LongLife regime can go up to 24 months or 20,000 miles between services, depending on driving style, and we’ll confirm which schedule applies to your car when you book.

It depends on the engine. Skoda’s older TDI diesels and some petrol units use a cambelt, which has its own replacement interval, typically every 4–5 years or 60,000–80,000 miles, separate from the annual oil service. Newer TSI petrol engines generally use a timing chain instead, which isn’t on a fixed replacement schedule but should be checked for tensioner wear if you hear a rattle on startup. We’ll tell you exactly which your car has and when it’s due.

Yes, our technicians are equipped to service Skoda’s plug-in hybrid iV models and the fully electric Enyaq range.

How long does a Skoda service take?

An interim service is usually done within an hour or two, while a full manufacturer-schedule service typically takes half a day. We’ll confirm an estimated collection time when you book.

Yes, we regularly combine both in a single visit. Just mention it when booking and we’ll schedule them together.

No. Under the UK’s Block Exemption Regulation, independent servicing doesn’t invalidate your manufacturer warranty, provided the work follows Skoda’s official schedule and uses genuine or OE-equivalent parts, which is exactly how we work.
